What Causes Glossophobia?

Before I list the causes of Glossophobia, I am going to review what Glossophobia is. Glossophobia is a phobia known as “stage fright” or “fear of public speaking”. Individuals that are diagnose with Glossophobia present symptoms when they are given a task which is relate to public speaking or the thought of public speaking. Now, moving on to the cause’s of Glossophobia which is known as the fear of public speaking or stage fright. There are many causes for Glossophobia, however the exact cause is still unknown. The known causes of Glossophobia are: Traumatic experience as a child or adulthood, avoiding public speaking for a period of time which slowly emerges into Glossophobia, and certain physiological factors such as low self esteem.
